The place: we sat outside. Communal seating, so probably not the place to share your deepest, darkest secrets, though there are some smaller tables. Welcoming vibe. Service was pretty exceptional - cleared everything promptly, filled our waters, and food came out quickly. Note: you do have to order the whole meal at once. The taste: we got the hamachi crudo and Brussels sprouts. Both were fine. The crudo was a little underseasoned and therefore underwhelming. I am notoriously anti-salt, so me saying this could have used a salt should be taken with more than a grain of salt. The burger, however, is as good as they say. We split it and we each still had a hearty portion. Balanced taste, interesting textures, messy goodness, properly dressed. It will get all over your hands and face, but it's a small price to pay (on top of the $21) for a hybrid of basic and elevated in one special sandwich. My face: 2 cocktails, 1 beer, plus three dishes = $115 pre-tip. Tipsy smile bc that was my first cocktail in 3 weeks.

Food was amazing. Fire chicken and short rib was so good. Short rib meat fell right off the bone. Burger was good but, not the best. Lychee Paloma was strong and worth it. The negative. We got there at opening time at 4:30 with a reservation at 4:45. The hostess tells us please wait outside. We gave them the benefit that maybe they are still setting up. After 5 minutes the next customer came but was seated outside. I over hear another hostess ask why we are just standing outside and the hostess that spoke to us said that our reservation is 4:45. When I hear this I approach asking when can we be seated because we have been waiting outside for 10 minutes. It is now 4:40. Possibly the manager, said just seat them. There was another couple seated inside and that's it. This left us feeling salty. All those seats open and the hostess made us wait for our exact reservation time.

Food - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Ambience - 4/5 Value - 4/5 Our waiter was very nice and gave fantastic recommendations. The food came out quickly. Everything was great, but definitely get the mushrooms! Such rich flavor, I could have eaten spoonfuls of the miso butter sauce. The tables were close together and the a/c was blasting on my back, but we didn't have to yell to have a conversation.

We were first one in the door at 4:30p Saturday. Sat in 2 seater by window. Place filled up fast over next 20 minutes. Food was great. We split the Mott burger, watermelon, garlic rice, and everything shrimp. The burger was unique in flavor and a meal in itself. Splitting it was perfect. The shrimp dish was tasty and the rice was good. The watermelon wasn't anything special but it was very ripe and refreshing. To me the star of the meal was the ricotta doughnuts for dessert. I could have had 2 orders! Service was fine but I wonder if it was because we were very early diners. Ambiance is another star of this restaurant. Small but interesting and vibrant. Outdoor patio looks pretty cool but we elected the inside because it was very warm late afternoon. All in all a great experience (except the heavy traffic on way in to the city). No traffic coming back home so it evened out.

One of my husband and I's favorite restaurants! Every time we are craving a good burger, we have to go to Mott St and we have recommended this place to others just based off of that sole menu item because it is that good! We always recommend ordering the burger with an egg because, yes, it does make a difference! We have also gone for brunch and dinner and every time, the food is delicious and never disappoints! We try to make reservations ahead of time to secure ourselves a spot. Also, of note, if you are going to visit during dinner time and want to try their burger, you gotta be there before 7pm because it's not orderable after that unless you sit at the bar. Highly recommend this spot!

My second time coming here for brunch and it was just as good as the first time! The pancakes, the steak kalbi, the burger, everything is seasoned so well and a great Asian twist on the American classics. The servers were also very nice as well! It's a small space so definitely make reservations but I definitely will always recommend this place for brunch.

I was having such a bad day until I came here! My day took an unexpected turn for the better when I stumbled upon Mott St during a chaotic dinner rush in the rain. Despite the bustling crowd, I was able to snag a bar seat with the regular dining menu! TAYLOR, the bartender, single-handedly elevated my experience and made my day. She was so friendly and easy to chat with, and I loved all her recommendations. The oyster mushrooms really sold this place to me, I'd def come again. Especially when I have another subpar day

When we swung open the large door at Mott Street and heard the noise level, we knew the diners were having fun and eating fantastic food. Chef Edward Kim's mashup of various cuisines including Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, and Italian are both creative and bold. Much of the seating at Mott Street is communal. We snagged our own table with a reservation. The noise level throughout the meal was super loud. You couldn't even hear the music playing in the background. The biggest challenge we faced was keeping up with the food that comes out as soon as it's finished. We literally didn't have enough table space for all the plates. I wish restaurants that encourage you to order lots of different dishes, would also provide clean plates throughout the evening. Your plate just gets messy. The menu features sea, land and in-between sections. For $188, the Chef's Menu includes nine items and serves four. It's features many of Mott Street's classics. Here is what we ordered and our reaction: - Mentaiko Kimchi Udon - the best dish we ordered, loved the thick cheesy noodles and the dancing bonito flakes - Crispy Chili Cauliflower - excellent, wok fried, served crisp and juicy, large portion - Imperial Rolls - excellent, a Vietnamese egg roll that you wrap in lettuce and dip into sauce - King Crab Rice - didn't like, thought it was going to be a crab feast with buttered rice, we were wrong - Hanger Steak Kalibi - excellent, loved the jalapeno yogurt dipping sauce - Stuffed Cabbage - didn't like, described as Korean lasagna, crunchy sticky rice with pork butt - Everything Shrimp Noodles - excellent, but we shouldn't have ordered two noodle dishes - Mango Sticky Rice - didn't like, thought it would be better if sweeter Some things we wished we had ordered included the Everything Wings, Thai Style Papaya Salad and the Fried Rice.

Went here for a dinner and sat at the bar. The staff were all super friendly and the place was just an overall good vibes to it. The lychee drink was super refreshing but strong! Not a bag thing though. The food is where it shines. First of all, they stop serving the burger at 7pm (not really sure why) but it's a must try. It's cooked to perfection. It had crispy fried onions which gave it an amazing crunch. The garlic rice was just fine, it was good paired with some other items but on its own, nothing special. The oyster mushrooms in that butter sauce was really good, with all that butter how can it not be. The crispy tofu was good, I wish it was more crispy but still good. Overall, this place is a must try and a super cute date spot.
